Research Centers
Aimed at increasing the quality, coverage and educational offer, through the use of communication and information technologies. This Center will also promote, among university students, the entrepreneurial spirit for the design, implementation and administration of creative and innovative projects. The facilities have a construction area of more than 5,352m² and an investment of more than 95 million pesos. It includes an area of research, training, television studio, production booth, radio studio, coordination of educational projects and audiovisual production, among others.
With an investment of more than 100 million pesos, the Autonomous University of Nuevo León created the Biotechnology and Nanotechnology Research Center, to address problems that affect health and the environment, through the generation of knowledge, technological innovation , training experts and providing professional services to the industry.
The master project is made up of a four-level sustainable building, which includes twenty-nine laboratories, an auditorium, a library, a multipurpose room and offices, among other scientific, administrative and social areas, built on an area of almost 6,119 m².
The university space is governed by the principles of sustainability, with special equipment for the use of solar energy and efficient use of water.
The mission of the Center is to generate cutting-edge knowledge in biotechnology and nanotechnology, with concrete application in addressing current problems in society that involve the quality of air, water and food, in order to contribute to sustainability and health. of the population.
And its vision is to be a research center whose contributions in biotechnology and nanotechnology are of high relevance and social relevance due to their contribution to scientific and technological advances for education, industry, sustainability and health.
The objectives of the Center are the following:
- Offer technical services, consulting and support advice to the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, veterinary and environmental protection industries.
- Contribute to the training of human resources in disciplines related to biotechnology and nanotechnology, in a multidisciplinary and innovative environment.
- Carry out cutting-edge scientific and technological research for the development of new chemical products from biological compounds isolated from flora.
In order to generate proposals for solutions to the problem of efficient use of water, energy, gas and land through the scientific method and technological development, the Research Center for Sustainable Development (CIDS) was created.
The CIDS is a university unit dedicated to research on the environment and sustainability that, as of 2019, functions as a regional reference center for environmental information and communication and sustainable development aimed at finding better alternatives to solve environmental problems. in northeastern Mexico.
The project contemplated a final investment of more than 122 million pesos in 5,913 m² of construction and equipment, which has laboratories for Environmental Geomatics, Climatology, Toxicology and Environmental Risk, Calibration and Maintenance of Measuring Instruments, as well as a Research laboratory. of Air, Soil and Water Quality, as well as administrative areas, a library, a meeting room, maintenance, parking and green areas, as well as facilities for researchers, research assistants and social service providers.
The CEIIDA's purpose is to generate priority knowledge about artistic phenomena, with emphasis on topics of regional interest; counting on a bibliographic collection specialized in arts, a documentation unit on our artistic culture, spaces for cultural and academic activities that contribute to the artistic and cultural development of our society.
The CEIIDA has various exhibition rooms, cubicles and a library throughout its eight thousand square meters, distributed over two levels; This center will develop a series of research programs in the arts, through public calls, as well as a cultural program of courses and seminars.
The strategic project around the arts is grouped into four fundamental components, articulated among themselves: artistic culture research, arts documentation center, arts library and cultural space on the Mederos Campus.
The Autonomous University of Nuevo León is going through an intense internationalization process, creating the Internationalization Center, as a strategy to facilitate the process of institutional internationalization successfully.
The construction of the Center required an investment of 128 million pesos and is the headquarters of the Secretariat of International Relations, Academic Exchange, Accreditation and International Evaluation, the Center for Asian Studies and the Secretariat of Sustainability.
The building that gives way to the Center was designed with characteristics that make it an intelligent and sustainable building, which occupies 5,352.46 m²on two levels and has the following spaces: Flag Pavilion, Session Room of the International Consultative Council, Room of Ambassadors and Room of Chancellors, Session Room of the Institutional Committee on International Relations, Interactive map of Nuevo León, Virtual Visiting Room to the University Campuses, 4 distance education rooms and 5 modules for international cooperating organizations.
The CIIDIT is a multidisciplinary center that had an investment of more than 180 million pesos in an area of 7,380m², made up of state-of-the-art laboratories for different disciplines of engineering and technology and also has a Knowledge Management Center, multipurpose rooms with cutting-edge technology, equipped areas for the use of researchers and students for continuing education.
With an area of 15,592m² es uno de los 34 centros que nuestra Universidad tiene dirigidos hacia la creación de conocimiento y la innovación, que provee a la sociedad de infraestructura académica y de investigación en el área de la salud, la biomedicina y la biotecnología.
The Center for Research and Innovation in Aeronautical Engineering (CIIIA) is a multidisciplinary and integrative center of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, under the administration of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (FIME), which was built with an investment of $253,728,224.00 ( MXN), with the aim of becoming a technological development center that supports the development of the aeronautical and aerospace industry in northern Mexico, through the creation of links between academia and research through scientific and technological projects that contribute to generating value and provide practical and effective solutions to the development of these industries.
The CIIIA is located in the municipality of Apodaca, N.L., in the vicinity of the North International Airport, on a land area of 3,600 m² y con 7,367 m² de construcción que se compone de tres niveles en los que existe aulas y laboratorios, un hangar para prácticas de laboratorio de Estructuras y Sistemas de Aeronaves, Desarrollo de Proyectos de Diseño y Construcción, cubículos para profesores e investigadores, oficinas empresariales para convenios con empresas, oficinas administrativas, un salón polivalente, un túnel del viento, 15 laboratorios referentes a nivel internacional y nacional que atienden líneas específicas como diseño, aerodinámica, materiales avanzados, simulación, análisis de fallas, corrosión, entre otros; además de ser la sede del “Monterrey Aerocluster”.
