Communication and Diffusion Program
The communication and dissemination program for the sustainability of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, operated by the Project Development Department (DDP) of the Sustainability Secretariat (SS) recognizes the importance of education and awareness in building sustainable societies and sets as its main objective to inspire students, academic and administrative staff to become agents of change in their environments, promoting sustainable practices that contribute to environmental conservation and social well-being.
The UANL Sustainable Communication and Outreach Program uses Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), such as social networks and digital platforms, to disseminate knowledge and encourage the adoption of sustainable habits. This approach allows reaching a broad and diverse audience, both on and off university campuses, promoting a culture of sustainability that transcends institutional borders.
Through the constant dissemination of educational and motivational content, the program strives to create a network of individuals committed to sustainability, who, in turn, positively influence their communities and contribute to the creation of a more sustainable future.
In 2023, the publications managed by the communication and dissemination program for sustainability managed by the DDP reached more than 1 million 250 thousand people through social media and its website, reflecting a growing interest in sustainability issues at local, national and international levels. During that same year, more than 2,300 posts were disseminated on social networks through the UANL Sustentable site, impacting more than 820,000 people in countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, the United States and Guatemala.
The channel of YouTube UANL Sustentable also had an outstanding activity in the year 2023, producing and publishing more than 170 videos, including 40 online conferences and 52 weekly educational sessions in virtual mode.
For its part, the Sustainability website (sds.uanl.mx) registered more than 430,000 visits from users in 148 countries.
