The Secretariat of Sustainability, through the Directorate of Environmental Management and Operational Safety, has held meetings with sustainability liaisons on a semiannual basis without interruption from 2016 to the present.
These meetings aim to address topics of interest across the three pillars of sustainability, while also serving as a forum for training, feedback, and the exchange of ideas to strengthen the implementation of sustainable practices within the various UANL departments.
The 20th edition of this meeting took place on June 26 at the Center for Sustainable Development Research, with the participation of more than 80 representatives from various academic units and central administrative departments of the UANL.
The topics addressed were the inventory of UANL's forest capital, energy management, environmental certification, and an interactive session on safety and environmental aspects.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Sergio Fernández Delgadillo, Secretary of Sustainability, addressed the attendees, acknowledging the importance of their work and the impact it has on making UANL the most sustainable university in Mexico—and the 11th worldwide, according to the GreenMetric ranking.
