SECRETARÍA DE SUSTENTABILIDAD
The Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) presents its Annual Sustainability Report to the university community, civil society, and public and private institutions; this document outlines the key progress, results, and actions undertaken by the institution to contribute to building a more sustainable future.
The report constitutes an exercise in transparency and accountability that reflects the UANL’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection, social well-being, and responsible economic development, in alignment with its educational mission and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda.
The report integrates results obtained in strategic areas such as efficient water and energy management, sustainable mobility, natural capital conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and education for sustainable development, among other topics related to promoting sustainability in university environments.
The preparation of the report is made possible through the collaboration of UANL’s central and academic departments, which provide relevant information on actions, programs, and results aimed at promoting sustainability across university campuses and meeting the goals and objectives established in UANL’s transition toward sustainability.
Additionally, the Annual Sustainability Report fosters collaboration among various sectors of society and reaffirms the UANL’s commitment to continuing to drive innovative actions that contribute to sustainable development in Nuevo León and Mexico.
With the development of this important document, the UANL reaffirms its position as one of the higher education institutions most committed to sustainability at both the national and international levels, strengthening its role as an agent of social transformation and a benchmark for promoting development models that are more sustainable and socially responsible.
